Juliana Bahr Thompson, 28 year old woman (Mermaid with a Message) athlete, teacher and lifeguard, is paddling a world record 1000km from Newcastle to Noosa on a knee type paddle board.
She will arrive at Crowdy Head on Monday 4th July 2016 and overnight at the surf club.
Crowdy Harrington Coastal Patrol will host a BBQ breakfast the following morning before she resumes her journey.
Juliana is paddling for Surfrider and White ribbon, raising awareness around both issues of domestic violence and ocean conservation. In less than 12 days she departs Newcastle.
Its a 43 day paddle in total and Noosa is her final destination. She is departing Newcastle June 26, arriving Noosa August 7.
