Crowdy Head Surf Life Saving Club

Crowdy Head Surf Life Saving Club is located at the entrance to Crowdy Head on the beautiful Crowdy Bay. We provide volunteer Surf Life Saving services on weekends from September to April every year. The club provides training and education for the achievement of Surf Life Saving Awards. A Nippers program runs every Sunday from 9.30 to 11.30 during the Surf Life Saving season.

Good Evening All,

Surf Life Saving Lower North Coast Branch is now calling for nominations from any interested patrolling member who wish to attain their Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue Certificate.

When: August 17th & 18th, 2019
Times:
Saturday - 0830arrival for 9am start (sharp) until late
Sunday - 0830 arrival to 4pm
Venue: Pacific Palms SLSC
Meals: Details circulated once numbers are in.
Equipment: Details circulated once numbers are in.

Minimum number to run the course 10, open to all those in the branch that meet the following:
PRE-REQUISITES
Candidates must meet ALL of the following conditions:
Be at least 16 years of age on the date of final assessment
Complete a 400 metre swim in 8 minutes or less in a swimming pool of no less than 25m length
Hold and be proficient in the SLSA Bronze Medallion (and hold the Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Search and Rescue)
Complete the online pre-course module

DESIRABLE
A component of the course shares a unit of competency with the current Patrol Captain award. We ask that members interested in the course, if you have a patrol captain award, to email a copy of this award with your Course Enrolment form. Those that do not, you will be required to complete the online patrol captains component prior to attending the course, with the face to face component for that award being delivered at a later time.

You must send through your Training Enrolment Form to secure your spot. The timed pool swim must be completed prior to the course start. Timed Pool swim forms can be completed at the YMCA in both Taree and Great Lakes pools.
