            B. FINANCE

Reports for finance of Audit Process has been distributed and now in the process of setting up renewal of membership with letters (information packs) etc to the members going out by the predicted date of 30^th August 2011. ALL reports, JAG Calender / Patrol rosters to be in to the Treasurer by the night of the 23^rd August to be collated and ready for printing & post out to members.

9. SURF SPORTS

A meeting held on 10^th August 2011 at Black Head SLSC attended by our DO Surfsports Adrian Futterleib (copy of LNC Surfsports Minuted on LNC website

Officials Seminar meeting on the 7^th Sept 2011 (Wednesday) at TOB SLSC (7 – 9 pm) to get the latest update of the new regulations and rules coming out of the Saxon Bird Inquiry & the new requirements for risk assessment at carnivals.

 

 

            LNC carnival Agreement stay the same for:-

10. EDUCATION        (GIVEN BY G IRVING)

            With the resignation of Lisa Jones under part 4 section 18 of the Club Constitution the executive Committee has the power to select a member for this position. The committee agreed that the person selected for this position must :-

            a. want to do it,

            b. willing, &

            c. have knowledge of the duties involved.

Members were asked to shop around for this person and the duties are temporarily shared among the committee until filled. All reports on Education to D O Lifesaving.

 

11. LIFE SAVING

            The new season will start with 3 new critical changes that are:-

                        Risk Assessment

                        Water Safety Policy, &

                        IRB Driving

With the influence behind this is the death of Saxon Bird at Aussie 2010

Patrol rosters are near complete and will be out with the renewal notice & information pack.

SLSNSW are providing the club with the new flags, due in September, where we have the usual red/yellow with a black/white ‘buffer’ flag instead of the blue flags.

Gear Scrutineering has been set down for Saturday the 3^rd September

12. JUNIOR ACTIVITYS GROUP

            Season opens on Sunday the 9^th October 2011 @ 9.30am DST on the last weekend of school holidays at the Crowdy Head SLSC at a cost of $35. For registration.

            Pool proficiency Swims are to be held on Saturday 10^th & Saturday 17^th September at 10.30 am to 4pm. Also on Tuesday 13^th & Thursday 15^th September between 4.30pm to 5.30pm at the Manning Aquatic & Leasure Centre, Taree

13. GENERAL BUSINESS

            Executive discussed the need for the club to do more for the 13 to 17 year old members and decided to hold a club B B Que / function for these member on Saturday 15^th October at the club. We are open to suggestions as to what to do.
