Life Saving Report for

Management meeting 19/02/2012

A rewrite of the roster was dictated for February to April. Members have been advised of the new roster and will continue to receive SMS and Emails in the week
prior to their patrol. Attendace so far has been good.

Our current partolling strenght is around 45 members and is as low as we can go. A new Bronze/ SRC squad will hopefully see a rise in patrolling members.
If patrolling members decline the result will be a bigger patrolling burden for those that remain.

The summer cycle is now complete and no major incidents are to be reported. The poor weather over the summer holiday resulted in small beach attendance.

The new IRB motor is now in service, and as a result one of the 2 other IRB motors needs to be sold. We also need to see the 4 IRB hull as a matter of priority.

Surf Guard is up to date.

All boards have now been repaired and are servicable.

The ATV, even though having a rust prevention at the start of the season, continues to suffer in the beach enviroment. A replacement stratagy needs to be
implemented before the vehicle is in a state where resale is unlikely.

The back shed continues to suffer from "clutter" and an major "recycling" effort is required.

A proper storage cradle is required for our reserve IRB.
