This month at Crowdy Head we have hosted two carnivals in conjunction with LNC.

The annual All Schools Carnival run by LNC, their schools were involved and over 50 competitors on the day. I must thank the clubs helpers on the day John Ward, Darrel Steer and Alan Homes. The club had 6 or 7 of our members their competing on the day from the various schools involved.

The Crowdy Head All Age Carnival and LNC selection carnival was a great success for the club. There were over 200 competitors present on the day. The club ran the carnival extremely well and I would like to thank all of the Crowdy Crew for their team work and help in the running of such a smooth carnival. Crowdy Head ended up 4th overall on points and a great effort on Crowdy’s behalf. Special thanks to Darrel Steer for his organisation of the carnival.

There has being there of the Crowdy Head Competitors selected for the LNC Inter-branch team that will be contested at Red Head on the 10th and 11th of December. So Congratulations to Chealse Green, Zack Stayman and Adrian Futterleib for their selection the club wishes them well.

At the Last Branch Surf Sport meeting, Foster was awarded the LNC Branch championships to be held on the 11th and 12th of February 2012. There has also being a request for any of Crowdy Heads Officials to nominate for the following carnivals, Country Championships this season at South West Rocks will be conducted on Fri, Sat, & Sun 13th To 15th January 2012, State Aged Titles at Kingscliff 13th – 15th March, State Masters & Open Titles at Kingscliff 17th – 20th March. Forms can be found on the SLSNSW website.

There are a number of State run things coming up, there is an exchange program happening for country kid to go to the city clubs for a weekend and compete and patrol, for age groups U15- U17. There is also going to be a state run coaching clinic to be held at Tacking point in January for anyone of any ability of the ages of U13’S to Opens. Anyone interested contact DOSS for more info.

Crowdy is sending a team to the Black Head Beach carnival on the 20th of November to compete. There is also a carnival to be held at Coffs Harbour on the 27th for anyone that is interested contact Sarah Green for Entry.

There is a number of old boards that need to be looked at for replacement in the near future and we need to start updating these to bring down the repair coasts. Anyone interested in any equipment how to use or what to look for when buying equipment please feel free to contact DOSS as he can assist.

A new Kracka Long Board has been ordered ready to arrive in February.
